Your clients’ experience is just as important as how well you serve them. From the first contact to months after working with them, making sure they have an exceptional experience working with you is not only a way to ensure their satisfaction but also to receive great reviews and referrals!
We aren’t saying you need to gift them a Lamborghini; small, thoughtful actions can make a world of a difference in how they perceive their time working with you. Leaving a lasting impression is the most sure fire way to guarantee that you’re making your clients happy during a time that can be stressful. We’ll be going over 3 ways you can go above and beyond for you couples!
Send a Handwritten Thank You Note
When a client books with you, or even after you’ve finished working together, sending a thank you note could be a great idea. There’s nothing more personal and thoughtful than a handwritten note expressing your gratitude for them booking with you and how much you enjoyed working with them. They’re likely sure to save it as it makes a lasting impression and reminds them fondly of their special day. They may even tell their friends and family about it!
Create a Welcome Packet
Having a welcome packet when onboarding a new client is the best way to ensure that they’re in-the-loop and understand what the process of working with you is going to look like. Prevent them from having to wonder about certain things or ask you a gazillion commonly-asked questions by laying it all out for them. Your welcome packet could simply be a beautiful PDF. Having the information handy all in one place allows them to refer back to it as often as needed, and it shows them furthermore how seriously you take your job.
Your welcome packet could have a recap of what they purchased and the services involved, your contact information, some helpful resources or advice, encouraging words, some more information about you, what they can expect of you and vice versa, check-in dates, etc. To put it simply, everything the client will need to know, include it in the welcome packet. Not only will they thank you, you’ll thank yourself!
Send a Gift
Do you know when their birthday is? Their favorite kind of wine? If they have any pets? Are they a Starbucks lover? You could send a nice card on their birthday, deliver a bottle of wine, or buy them a gift card to their favorite coffee chain. Small gifts that show you’ve been paying attention to them are what make lasting impressions.
You could send your gift months offboarding to show that you’re still thinking of them and are still appreciative of your time working together. If you offer other services that are still applicable to them, you could also use it as a gentle reminder of your other services or even simply to refer you to their friends and family.
